Common Core is developmentally inappropriate

Dr. Megan Koschnick discusses the inappropriateness of the Common Core Standards for K-3 at the Common Core Conference held at Notre Dame on September 9, 2013.    The video is about a half-hour long and is worth every minute of your time.  Our nation’s youngest children do not deserve the stress that these standards will create for them.    Her thoughts about how this leads to conformity are compelling.

Please watch the video and pass it along to your friends and family members with youngsters in their early elementary years.   I also encourage you to contact your lawmakers and share with them your concerns about what Common Core will do to young children.
