URGENT ALERT- REGARDING STUDENT DATA PRIVACY BILLS SB 33 and SB 510 THAT DO NOT PROTECT PRIVACY
Stop Common Core in Michigan has not asked you to do any calling for a while, but this is an urgent request. At the last hour, in a lame duck session, these horrible bills are coming up for a vote. The children of Michigan need your help.
Call Michigan lawmakers BEFORE The vote- 9 am THURSDAY NOVEMBER 10,
The bills give legal authority to online operators through computers, chromebooks and other electronics used at school by K-12 students to “AMASS PROFILES” about those students. The profile may contain biometrics, health records, political affiliations and religious beliefs and more due to “but not limited to“language. A more detailed analysis and explanation is here.
THIS IS URGENT. BOTH BILLS HAVE ALREADY PASSED THE SENATE!
