Yesterday by a voice vote, the Michigan Senate passed a substitute resolution on Common Core. A voice vote means that no record of how each Senator voted was recorded.
According to a report from MLive, “Richardville also said a roll call vote was not taken on the issue because “there didn’t seem to be a need.”
We at Stop Common Core in Michigan, think there is a need to know how each Senator voted. So we’re going to do our own roll call. Please help us by calling your Senator and politely asking how he/she voted on the Common Core resolution. We’ll keep a public record here at this post and update it as we learn how each Senator voted.
